1. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints, Quarterback (10-1)
2018-2019 stats 3135 yards, 29 Touchdowns, two interceptions QB rating 127.3
10 wins in a row for the New Orleans Saints. It has been a great season for Brees and company as they have been the hottest team in the NFL. With a Thursday night game against Dallas and two more games against Carolina, the Saints may not be challenged all that much until they take on Big Ben and the Steelers in week 16.
2. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs, Quarterback (9-2)
2018-2019 stats 3628 yards, 37 Touchdowns, 10 Interceptions QB rating 117.9
Mahomes and the Chiefs were off this week with a bye. He still remains number two in my rankings
3. Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts, Quarterback (6-5)
2018-2019 stats 3112 yards, 32 touchdowns, 11 interceptions QB rating 102.7
Luck probably won’t win MVP but he should be a lock for comeback player of the year. With what he has done this season, he looks to put any doubt that he is an elite Quarterback in the NFL. He looks healthy and that is great news for Colts fans.
4. Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams, Quarterback (10-1)
2018-2019 stats 3547 yards 26 Touchdowns six Interceptions 113.5 QB Rating
Jared Goff and Los Angeles were on a bye week. He slides to number four in my rankings
5. Todd Gurley, Los Angeles Rams, Running back (10-1)
2018-2019 stats 210 attempts 1043 yards, 13 Touchdowns, 43 catches 441 yards four touchdowns
Todd Gurley and Los Angeles were on a bye week. Gurley rounds out my top five list of candidates for MVP.
Rookie of the Year
1. Saquon Barkley, New York Giants, Running back(3-8)
2018-2019 stats 171 attempts 829 yards eight Touchdowns, 71 catches, 581 yards, four Touchdowns
After what you can call a slow start, Barkley has picked up steam rushing for 100 + yards in back to back games. Albeit in a loss, the Giants are looking better on the offensive side of the ball. After selecting Barkley in this years draft, Giants fans can sleep well knowing they got Barkley instead of the Quarterbacks who were on the board when New York was on the clock at two.
2.Nick Chubb, Cleveland Browns, Running back(4-6-1)
2018-2019 stats 122 attempts 663 yards six Touchdowns, nine catches 92 yards two Touchdowns
The Browns have a had a nice season and that almost feels weird to say but the future seems bright for the team in Cleveland. Mayfield has been excellent, more on that later but Nick Chubb has to have everyone feeling really good. Thought to be a first round talent before suffering a devastating knee injury, Chubb has looked like a steal for the Browns.
3. Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns, Quarterback(4-6-1)
2018-2019 stats 2242 yards, 17 Touchdowns, seven Interceptions QB rating 93.2
Baker Mayfield exploded against the Bengals throwing for four touchdowns. This was Mayfield’s second straight game with a quarterback rating of 140+ and what had to make this performance more sweet was that it was against his former Coach, Hue Jackson.
